Writing RECIPE KIBI Refresher "B" 01/07

Dear Students,
This Writing Recipe for KIBI Refresher class will enable you to know how to give instruction particularly recipe writing. This simple instruction is pretty much important as my experience proved that to engage the foreigners and to start the conversation using this approach is very efficient. Talking about food is very common and interesting especially when you know how to make them ready to be served.

Syntaxtically, you should be using the sequence markers such as; first, second, third, and, then, after that, next, lastly, finally, and so forth.

Make sure that your recipe is usefull for others.

SIMPLE SEAFOOD FRIED RICE WITH BUTTER FOR BREAKFAST

DISH FOR : 2-3 adult persons

INGREDIENTS :
1. two plate of cooked rice
2. Some chop of shrimp and squid
3. one chicken egg, tear it in a cup.
4. two table spoon of oil fry
5. One table spoon of butter
6. Species : cut in slices two pieces garlic three pieces union and two red chilies pepper, two table spoon soy bean sauce

INSTRUSTIONS :

First, heat oil fry in a wok, cook slices of unions, garlics and chllies, add some chops of shrimp and squid, mix its until good smell appear.

Second, pour teared egg, mix egg with other until medium done.

Third, pour two plate of rice, add soy bean sauce and salt as you need. Mix all and cook its rise welldone. last, add two tablespoon butter, make a little tear before put fried rice up.

Finally, poor the seafood fried rice from wok to two or three plate. Add slices off cucumbar and tomatoes for accesories, and enjoy it...!

Fire Bread

If you want a simple breakfast in the morning, you must try a fire bread. It's very delicious and healthy snack. There are many ingredients which is a bread,butter,sugar,cokelates,cheese,peanuts and milk. First you must melt the butter to the bread after that you pour the milk on it. If you like to have a sweet taste,you melt with sugar or pour some coklates. Then you broil the bread on the grill. When it's done, you cut the bread and ready to eat your breakfast. By the way if you want more a good taste, you put some cheese on it, it's more delicious.

Water Melon Porridge

if you want to try a nice and healthy dish in the afternoon.you can try this recipe.WATER MELON PORRRIDGE.The Ingredients : water melon ,fresh fruit ; a melon ,a peach , and strowberries,milk .
Instructions; cut up water melon a amaunt of up to you.Then, peel it from the skin. After that,put in to the blender.Put the top on the blender and blend on high for a minute.Then,cut up fresh fruit in small shape.Then,pour the cutting fresh fruit in to the blender.After that, pour the ingredients in to the bowl and for the last pour the cream milk in to the bowl to add the taste.So,the dish is ready to be served for four people . The dish is kind of healthy desert because contain of fresh fruit.It is benefit for people who have a diet program.

When we need something to eat but not enough time, pleas try HOT OMELLET recipe below.
The ingredients to make hot omellet are three eggs, a teaspoon of margarin, leaf of onion cutting, red chilli cutting, paprica cutting, cucumbar, tomato, celery, and salt. All of the ingrediens can find easily around us. First step we have to do is cut off the leaf of onions, cucumbar, tomato, celery, paprica, and red chilli to be same pieces with about 0.5 cm length. Next step is shake three eggs into a bowl and add alittle bit of salt as you want unil foamy. Then add leaf of onion cutting, paprica cutting, and red chilli cutting to eggs. Last step is melt a teaspoon of margarine on frying pan until become liquid, pour the eggs mixture, and fry until the color became excessive dark brown. Finally we can enjoy HOT OMELLTE that serve with slice of cucumbar, slice of tomato, and celery cutting on the top.

How to make PLECING KANGKUNG
Ingredients:
Fresh kangkung,spout,grated coconut,chili,tomatos,salt and paste of shrimp.
first,boil kangkung and spout about 3 minute after that slice the kangkung.Now prepare for the type of delicacy made from chilies.Chili,tomatos and part of shrimp are bled until refined,if you want hot stonger,you may add chili.Prepare the slices kangkung and sprout on the plate and then pour the grated coconut,after that pour the delicacy made from chilies.Now plecing kangkung ready to dishes laid out on the table.

FRIED RICE WITH AN EGG

INGREDIENTS :
- cooked rice 1 portion
- spices : onion 3 piecies
garlic 2 piecies
pepper 1 tea spoon
salt 1/2 tea spoon
sugar 1/2 tea spoon
chilli as you like
tomatoes sauce as you
like
soya beans ketchup as
you like
coconut oil 10 ml

INSTRUCTIONS :
First, you should prepare one portion of cooked rice and mashed all spices according to onion, garlic, pepper, chilli, salt dan sugar. After that, fry meshed spices with sufficient coconut oil in the hot pan and set into small fire,until it smells good. Next, add the rice into the pan and mix them with cooked spices. Meanwhile, pour tomatoes sauce and soya beans ketchup is up to you. It takes 10 minutes. Finally, fry an egg and put it on the top fried rice. Let's try in your home.

Banana Ice Cream

Ingredients :
Ripe Bananas, Sugar, juice of one lemon, Cream, Full cream milk.

Instructions :
First mix the bananas puree together with the egg yolks, sugar and lemon juice. Second mix the banana puree thoroughly with the cream and the milk, then put the top on the mixer and mix approximate 10 minutes, pour the mixture into the cooling bowl and keep in into the refrigerator about 10 minutes after that enjoy your delicious banana ice cream./try this receipe or you will be sorry.

Ceesco Fried Banana

Ingredients:
4 pieces of Banana
20 grams of Chocolate
Cedar cheese


Instruction:
This is the recipe of ceesco fried banana

First, pour 100 ml of vegetable oil in frying pan and heat on medium level of power.

Second, put the peeled bananas into the hot vegetable oil in frying pan and wait for 10 minute or until the colour of bananas has changed and then raise and drip it.

The last put the bananas was fried to the plate then you can put melting chocolate and grated cedar cheese on top of fried bananas.

So you can taste the ceesco fried bananas together with acup of tea. This recipe made for one portion with 315 calories.

Are You Hungry? Wants some meals for your leisure times.. Try this,, it is called "Ketoprak" It is originlly Indonesian Food. I guarantee u'll be like this meals. But first you must prepare the ingredents; amount of garlic, amount of chili, one cup of fresh water, amount of sugar, 100 gr of peanut. Instructions: you put all the ingredents into the plate then grind it and become souce. After that, you can slices lontong; (rice cooked in a packket or container made of woven coconut leaves) into the plate, you can cut the fried tofu and pour the soy bean above it. Finish all, you can add crackers for delight. Enjoy it..

First, you have to prepare the ingredients such as :1 kg of chicken,1 ons garlik, 1 ons union, 1 ons chilly,1 table spoon of paper,1 ons of ginger, 1 ons of turmerik, a table spoon of falm sugar, a table spoon of salt,banana leap, 2 liters of water,3 table spoon of coconut oil,and some oleases if necesery, after that, put the chicken in sparate place,and blend the overage ingridients togother,without salt and coconut oil, than pour the blended ingridients into the bowl,add the salt and coconut oiland stir in a minut after tahat, cover the chicken with the ingridients and wrape in banana leap. Finally steam it in a high temperatur aprocimatly in a hour and take it away, you may add a garnish if you want. Now you ready to enjoy the original Balinese food.

When we want a delicious meal for dinner, please try this menu.
The ingredients as mention below :
- Rice : 1 kg
- Mutton chop : 0,5 kg
- Fresh milk : 150 ml
- Garlic : as needed
- Sault : as needed
- Sauce : as needed
- Union : as needed
- Chili : as needed

First mix the garlic , salts, sauces, chilies, and unions, the amount of ingredients is up to you. Pour the mix ingredients into the high pressure pan (presto), add fresh milk, mutton chop. The ingredients are stirred and broiled approximately ten minutes until mutton medium. Pour the rice into the presto, stirred and broil again approximately ten minutes until the rice mature. As the ends open the presto and pour the rice to the dishes, add some garnishes like cucumber, crackers and it is ready to served.

FRIED RICE

First, we need one plate of rice, two tea spoons of salt, two tablespoons of butter, some garlic and red chilies.

Second, we have to boil two spoonstable of butter on pan and then pour some spieces into heating butter, after that mix all of them until raising good smell, it is around ten seconds.

Third, pour a plate of rice into mixing spieces and stir all of them until the colours of rice getting yellow and good smell, if we need it dishes more delicious we have to stir around two minutes.

Finally, pour the fried rice into a plate and add with slices of cucumbar or tomatoe as accesories, furthermore the fried rice ready to serve.

Every morning, I always go to my post earlier than other person followed my job in Airfoce base. Sometime I had no time to take breakfast. I would like to try your recipe -that seem simple- at my home. But I'm still confused how to toast a bread, Are we use a toaster, roaster, grill, or directly to the fire ?

Dear Agung,

According to your recipe, I think it is not usual if we want to make fried rice add some sugar.
I suggest to change phrase cooked rice with rice because I think rice is already cooked.
It is still about using word in your paragraph and I suggest to change, they are: meshed with mashed, hot-pan with frying-pan.

NANI URA

Nani ura is Batakness favourit food which is made from fresh gold fish.
How to made it ?

First you must prepare the ingredients as sush as gold fish , garlic , union , salt , bamboo shoot , coconut , red chilies papper, vinegar and lime.
Clean the gold fish and banish fish bowels. Take, on a new plate , and than melt the vinegar into whole fish body, wait until 20 minutes so it pervade .
Cut garlic , union , bamboo shoot and red chiles papper , then grind them became delicate ,grate the coconot than sow to gold fish body. Stir all spices than add with lime , melt all of spices to the fish. Wait this fermentation fish for one day.
Finally The Nani Ura is read to serve especially in Batak custom party.

HOW TO MAKE MARTABAK

Martabak is one of the original food from India, how to make it ?…....... just follow the instruction . First step just prepare the several ingredients as mentioned below :

Wheat flavour : 200 ml
White sugar : as needed
Cheese : as needed
Condensed milk : as needed
Chocolate : as needed
Margarine : as needed

Second steps pour amount of water and white sugar into the pan and stir them up to flat. Then pour those mixed ingredients into the mould, turn on the stove afterward waiting until mature.If the mixed ingredients already mature we can spread deduction of cheese, condensed milk and amount of chocolate along the surface of that martabak. The third steps cut the martabak into half, spread also the margarine along the out skin of those martabak. Now martabak is ready as a delicious snack

Dear Mr Khoirul..
Based on our recipe,, I don't know what your mean about this words:
- peeled; it must be peel without ed .
- bananas has changed and then raise and drip it; why you use and then i think "and' has same meaning with "then", why you use "and" 2 times in 1 sentence.
I suggest that sentence changed into "... wait for 10 minute or until the colour of bananas has changed and then raise ater that drip it.
- I suggest the words that you want to use more simple so, it can understanding other people who will read your recipe.
